The AST Dew Tour debuted in June 2005, as the first ever Action Sports Tour. The Dew Tour is made up of five major events that take place over the course of five months, June thru October, and features skateboarding (park and vert), BMX (park, vert and dirt) and freestyle motocross.
 
At the final stop of this year's AST Dew Tour, an award will be given to the "PlayStation® Player of the Year," to recognize the pro athlete that best represents themselves within and outside the action sports community. On behalf of the winner, PlayStation will donate $5,000 to the Athlete Recovery Fund, a non-profit that provides professional action sports athletes with financial support after severe injuries.
